the rotary club of pakenham, together with five local Lorne Businesses, support family's first ever holiday

The Rotary Club of Pakenham, together with five local Lorne businesses, generously offered their support to give a family from Melbourne their first ever holiday.

Annalise and her four sons, Emmett, Joseph, Geoffrey and Jethro, travelled up from Melbourne on Saturday 16 June where they stayed at the Mantra Lorne for six days. Sincere thanks to the Mantra for the discounted accommodation.

Prior to each holiday, the Foundation requests a shopping list from the recipients. Foodworks Lorne generously donated a $200 voucher to support with the family’s food costs.

Annalise and her sons were scheduled to enjoy mini-golf and bouncing on the trampolines at Lorne Sea Baths on Saturday and Sunday but due to weather they were unable to visit. Thank you to Lorne Sea Baths for their continued support.

The Otway Fly Treetop Adventures was next on Sunday, which was rescheduled due to weather to Wednesday 20 June, where the family enjoyed the magic of the treetop walk.

Finally, the Tumbas’ visited the Great Ocean Road Wildlife Park on Tuesday where they created life-long memories as they visited all the animals.

Sincere thanks to the Rotary Club of Pakenham, Mantra Lorne, Foodworks Lorne, Lorne Sea Baths, Otway Fly Treetop Adventures and the Great Ocean Road Wildlife Park for your generosity.

The Tumbas family will have memories of their first ever holiday forever.

Thank you so much for everything this will certainly be some wonderful memories for them to keep for a lifetime. This has also helped with our healing as I believe that with each great memory puts a brick in the wall that helps build a wall away from the trauma these boys have experienced and this in particular has given many different experiences, knowledge and memories that I by myself would never have been able to give them. Thank you.
